Look up any standard sized crib mattress for reviews on their foam mattresses. I understand that this is supposed to be best for babies to avoid SIDS, etc.I will say that it fits perfectly and snug. I'm not worried that it will shift or leave any space for my child to get stuck. Because it is 4" thick, be cautious about buying older oval sheets. They were made for the slightly thinner foam mattress and are a tight stretch on the Colgate mattress. The newer Stokke fitted sheets fit fine. (I also use regular crib sheets with bed sheet fastners to keep it tight fitting, but this is a personal choice if you're worried about safety.) Some people love Colgates but not me. I find it hard to believe anyone could get a good night's sleep on this. It is rock HARD. There is barely any give, especially for a child of 25 pounds.
